Helping make free media better. Initiatives to support and accelerate the open content ecosystem.
Open Marks
A project to support open content (particularly open movies), by creating identifying marks, and pro-sharing notices and videos. We see it as a complement to the Creative Commons-licenses. Rather than a legal framework for Some Rights Reserved media, it is focussed on letting the audience know immediately how open and shareable the work in question is.
Open Sound
A project to create a free and open alternative to Home Theatre and Surround Sound (current standards such as Dolby Digital require commercial licensing fees).
